miami headland – burleigh heads walk

Burleigh Heads

gold coast is undeniably a beautiful place to live… moulded by some of the best beaches in the world. the miami headland to burleigh heads walk is my favourite and definitely something you should try if you haven’t already.

whenever i get the chance, i love to go for a beach walk and grab a juice, brunch or an acai bowl. it is a great way to exercise if you’re getting tired of the gym and a nice way to clear your head.

to do the miami – burleigh, park in the carpark at mick shamburg park across from miami tavern and connected to miami headland. put on your nikes, grab a water bottle and head up the hill to lores bonney lookout. the two platforms give you a 180 degree view of both ends of the gold coast. it is pretty beautiful on a nice sunny day. if you walk a little way north you will see the miami steps. great cardio workout if you’re game! then head down to the sand and walk south to burleigh heads. once you get to burleigh, head over to james, west and conner st for an array of food choices. the juice bar does amazing juices so this is a must and then depending on what time of the day it is, the pantry does great, honest, all day breakfasts. some other options to check out are connors, paleo café, justin lane and ze pickle.

if you want a change in scenery on the way back, you can always walk along the path! another great and more difficult walk is the burleigh heads national park walk.
